Driving through the rural south I’ve noticed the proud use of the confederate flag. Historically the association is full of blatant racism and hate which is why I’m amazed at how this election is headed. Is it because Mr. O is such a wonderful person or because of the economy?

Oh yeah, definitely the economy. I know poor white trash, and in general voting for the black man is pretty much out.
But because the economy is suffering and therefore the poor suffer significantly more than middle class and rich folks--people are choosing their wellbeing over their racism.
I am surprised at that. But as soon as the election is over and the economy is more stable? Right back to the same ol' racist shit.
