Let’s get back to that “Maverick” word for a minute.. This past week alone I’ve seen Mr. O sit at that tiny golden desk signing some new bill designed to support the middle class nearly a half dozen times. He’s aggressively changed old noneffective policies left by the bush administration and appears to do it in the most dignified manner. I’ve never imagined actually living to see a black, grassroots, basketball playing president with a whole lota swagga. I would say that alone would change the tone and culture in Washington.

So I’m thinking… if anyone was to ever be called a maverick it woud be Mr. O hands down! Can I get an amen?

They’re calling it the “dawn of a new party”. The republican party who’s currently looking for a new direction after the Palin/McCain exibition obviously needs a fresh clean approach.

I guess recovery begins with newly appointed GOP chairman Michael Steele, the first aftrican american ever placed in that position. Strategically placed to counter the success of Obamamania, it’s pretty obvious that race was the x-factor for who’s better to oppose a highly successful, popular african american but another african american. This has been the american way for years!

It continues to amaze me how this whole Wall Street bailout nonsense is summing up. Paying out bonuses to employees and attempting to purchase fifty million dollar private jets after taking several billion from the government, it’s becomes apparent that there’s some type of disconnect with the social class system. I’m not sure whether to take this whole thing seriously or think of it as bad dream. I hustle quite briskly for my little change so why should i have to pay for someone else’s fuck up. I guess being classified as an american means being treated like a straight peon from time to time. lol… Once again there are those who feel entittled to just do whatever the hell they want without looking out for the next man. There’s a serious problem here. What’s the problem you ask? The problem is obvious. Someone(s) outta be going to jail for this bold slap in the face to the american taxpayer. Who’s first?

Another Shameful Illinois Politician

Rod Blagojevich is a disgrace to american politics....only because he was the one who was caught. I know, I know, countless articles have already trashed him but do you truly believe he's the only dirty politician out there? While blatant corruption has been a part of the Illinois politics for such a long time, abuse of power is rare by today’s standards. This kind of mass abuse of power seems more in line with Al Capone-style corruption in the 1920’s where intimidation was the fuel that kept the fire burning. He looks like a silly muppet character so I'm curious to know what kinda leverage did this idiot have to keep other politicians at bay while this string of corruption go on for two terms! Did they not have a responsibility to ring the bell of suspicion? Anyway, this guy must've thought he was in the 1920's with his bold selfish tactics and obviously questionable exploits.

-This dick wanted to withhold money from a Children’s Memorial hospital (over $6 million) until one of the directors at the hospital donated $100,000 to him. Grown folk is one thing but not the children. Dayum!!!

- He fired the wife of his rival in the Illiois State House, Majority Leader Micheal Madigan, for nothing short of political firings. Madigan’s wife, an employee with the Illinois Department of Child and Family Services for 24 years without complaint (and under Blagojevich’s jurisdiction to fire being a state employee) was fired for having an “insufficient education” (despite a spotless 24 year working record). This was a political sham at the highest level, and ignited what many called the “nuclear option” between Blagojevich and Madigan.

- Criminal Blagojevich wanted nothing less than an outright bribe from the Obama administration in exchange for appointing the individual Obama preferred for his leftover Senate seat.

* Now this includes wanting to be named an ambassador, or get a cushy high-paying Union job. Keep in mind that this is not hearsay or circumstancial evidence…this is a tapped phone conversations in Criminal Blagojevich’s own words!! This dude is insanely warped in the head….

Considering all the bustle around it being Obama’s seat, of course many people were interested to know if our president-elect had anything to do with it. Currently, all available evidence points to Obama neither playing ball nor having any direct contact with Corrupt Criminal Rod Blagojevich, although some in his staff may have been in contact...makes you wanna say hmmmm..

I'm sure there's alot more that has yet to be reported but this dude puts Illinois politics and its political figures to shame! Still, being willing to cut funding to a children’s hospital, firing people for purely political reasons, and wanting to SELL a United States Senate seat for a profit in and of themselves are more than enough to get this disgrace out of office. What’s more, this man wasn’t even intelligent about it. He didn’t try to hide his crimes, he had them wide out in the open waiting to be discovered. It's like he underestimated the intelligence of its people... You have some nerves!

To conclude, obviously this guy has broken every moral and ethic posted on the walls in Springfield. To have the political skills to become a governor but the lack of common sense to be more discreet about the horrible abuse of power that you are doing… this man must have a few screws loose. Oh yeah...and rememeber, this idiot did 2 terms in office!!

Now the question that we as a nation must answer now is a proper punishment for such crimes. If Joe Blow can get 5 years for possessing some marijuanna then homeboy should get a free one way ticket to Statesville prison.

Politicians must understand that corruption is not a valid option and is no better than murder; it can negatively affect hundreds of thousands of lives, in both direct and indirect ways. Dayum...I wonder if Illinois politics could ever be truly trusted after an already corrupt system. What a shame to live in Illinois.

Since watching the recent elections and witnessing what critics now call the most organized democratic campaign ever assembled, I’ve been totally obsessed with the political process. Watching MSNBC like some kinda junkie I find myself often updated on Obama’s transition to power, silly Sarah Palin’s delusional idea of actually running in 2012 and the dismantling of the republican party. It’s kinda funny to see myself awaiting the Maddow show over a Chicago Bulls game or Keith Oberman than ESPN. I definitly have the fever and it’s getting hotter by the minute. Can somebody please pass me an aspirin.

If you haven't heard Rahm Emannuel has been appointed Obama's right hand man. Known from his previous affairs with the Bill Clinton administration and orchestrating the democratic takeover in 1996, he has a reputation to be a radical left winged attack dog that's known to present major results.

Well I was recently downtown and happened to run across the Obama caravan with secret service and the works. Along side was Mr Rahmbo, nine and a half fingers and all... (damn this guy is short). I was actually worried that the heavy Chicago winds would literally blow this dude into streets. Rumored of sending dead fish to those who bring opposition and hard nosed tactics, I wonder what drives this politician 5"6, 150lbs soaked and wet. Maybe it's the infamous Napoleon complex..hmmm...small people always have something extra to prove do they.

Either case, his appointment will surely compliment Obama's calm temperment. I'm personally curious to see how these two will function against the dismembered right wing and pitful Joe Lieberman...poor Joe. I think he better run while you still have the chance.

Now that the excitement has poured in the streets of america for the recent presidential nomination of Mr. O, where do we go from here? Looking back over the past several months I’ve religiously kept track of tactics and strategies with both parties and realized that the democratic ticket was one of the best campaigns ever constructed. In retrospect it was as engaging as a epic movie with an obvious spectacular outcome.
So now I’m curious to see what kind of team he has in mind to construct for the mode of change. I have a feeling this is gonna be something new and unusual for new and unusual times….lets watch.

Why is the NBA laying off nearly 9 percent of its workforce? The U.S. economy that's why.

Apparently there's a serious decline in season-ticket renewals and expects major drop in single-game ticket sales.

We know the economy is bad... and for the NBA to cut jobs with it's expensive $80 a ticket, we rather have the NBA simply cut the ticket cost. Then normal folks like myself could get a peek and not be a spectator sport only for the well to do. Thank God for cable huh...

That's besides the point... times are getting rough and nobody has money for a damn basketball game anyways. We're trying to fill our gas tanks and keep a roof over our heads!...What nerve.

Georgia congressman John Lewis along with the rest of the country is accusing John McCain and Sarah Palin of provoking hate and inciting an uneasy atmosphere at Republican campaign events. McCain's campaign has responded with a statement urging Barack Obama to repudiate Lewis's comments. You gotta be kiddin' me!!!

Over the past week the republican ticket has been making untruths about Obama and irresponsibly creating seeds of hatred and division. This behavior has been watched by all America and shows racist ideals and extreme right winged views. If you don't believe me just turn on the television and watch in disbelief as followers of McCain make herrendous comments about Obama's patriotism and citizenship.

"As public figures with the power to influence and persuade, Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin are playing with fire, and if they are not careful, that fire will consume us all," says Lewis. "They are playing a very dangerous game that disregards the value of the political process and cheapens our entire democracy. We can do better. The American people deserve better.”

McCain responded with disappointment, but also challenged Obama to immediately and personally repudiate the comments. The Obama camp wants no parts in this matter and continues to focus on the issues at hand.

Since then, McCain has been kissing ass and waving his campaign goodbye....good riddance.

Shortly after the bailout went through, executives from AIG's major U.S. lifeinsurance subsidiary, AIG American General, held a week-long conference at an exclusive resort in California.

The resort is called the St. Regis Monarch Beach. ... and it's expensive!!...very expensive!!.

This is an exclusive resort. The rooms start at $425 a night. Some more than $1,200 a night!!
AIG spent nearly $500,000 in a single week for personal and selfish reasons. Now remember, this was right after the damn bailout.

Here's a rundown of the expenditures:
$200,000 for hotel rooms

$150,000 for catered banquets

$23,000 at the hotel spa

$1,400 at the salon

$10,000 for....drum roll please..leisure dining...(what the hell is leisure dining?)

So while they were getting their manicures, facials, pedicures and their massages, the American people were footing the bill while losing their houses. Something is definitly wrong with this picture people.

Over the years we've come across lame drug campaigns screaming not to do drugs and just say no. That being said I've seen the FDA approve toxic mind altering drugs to patients for something as simple as a change in mood. The effects of these medications ranging from major weight gain, poor gait and even incontinence would keep any thinking individual away or am I speaking for myself? We've seen the commercials where the announcer run through the dangerous side effects just as its about to end. Anyways, my question is...why is everyone against cannibis? I never heard anyone dying from weed. Have you? Cigarettes are the leading causes of lung cancer where people actually die but are sold on every corner store in the free world. I'm just venting about the naïve behavior that society has placed about its perception of "drugs". Just pass the blunt and lets get insane in the membrane. .

Despite accusations of being “uppity” by the opposition, the crooked rezco incident, the big mouth preacher fiasco and finally the infamous lipstick on a pig line which is my personal favorite, he still stands tall. A martyr in recent times where he shows signs of true leadership, he sacrifices himself for those unable to be heard. No matter the outcome, Obama surely has a place in U.S politics that should be embraced by all. Now let me get back to watching CNN.

This economy is affecting everyone. From the rich on Wall street to the average joe that works at the local Starbucks. There’s a domino effect that will effect the likes of home owners to small businesses. How will this affect us personally? Let’s just say that I have to check on my deposits at Washington Mutual today (which as of last night is now Chase bank.)
